The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 827 students to the President's List, in recognition of their academic excellence in the Spring 2013 semester. The SUNY Potsdam students have been honored for earning top marks by Interim President Dr. Dennis L. Hefner.

Goodwin College's President's List for the Spring 2013 Session includes 245 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that about 3,800 undergraduates have qualified for the Spring 2013 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and nations.

The following local students have been named to Alvernia University's Dean's List for the spring 2013 semester:

Goodwin College honored 18 students with Academic Excellence Awards in their respective programs. The awards were presented on June 3 during a Ceremony held at Goodwin College.

On Thursday, June 6, 137 students received Certificates in various programs from Goodwin College. The certificates were awarded at Commencement, where thousands of people gathered to celebrate the class of 2013.

On June 6, 2013, Goodwin College awarded 417 Associate in Science degrees to students. The degrees were conferred at the College's Commencement Ceremony, held on the River Campus in East Hartford.

On June 6, 2013, 26 Goodwin College students received their Bachelor's Degrees at the Commencement Ceremony. Goodwin awarded Bachelor's Degrees in Nursing, Health Science, and Child Study. Four more students will achieve Bachelor's Degrees in August and were invited to walk during the Commencement Ceremony.

Students who earned a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher were named to Dean's List for the Spring 2013 semester at York College of Pennsylvania.

ENMU is honoring the students who earned a place on the spring 2013 Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours with a GPA between 3.25 and 4.00.

Students are annually named to Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, the National Honor Society for Adult Learners. All are matriculated, part-time students in attendance for a minimum of four semesters, with a minimum of 60 credit hours completed, and a 3.5 or above grade point average.

Some 739 students walked across the stage at Coastal Carolina University's commencement exercises on Saturday, May 11, at Brooks Stadium. A total of 950 students were eligible candidates for graduation.

In her Commencement address to the Goodwin College Class of 2012, Board of Trustees Vice Chair Maria Ellis made it clear that the students were Navigators in their own right. Goodwin College celebrated its 13th Commencement on Saturday, holding the ceremony on its River Campus. Ellis congratulated the 534 graduates, many of whom were first generation college students, and urged them to celebrate their milestone. "I expect that for each of you, there are parts of this journey that have been the most difficult trials of your life," Ellis said. "And yet, as true Navigators, you have kept afloat, shot the rapids, and docked here safely." The following local students were members of the Class of 2012:

To be included on the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Of the 534 students who comprise the Goodwin College Class of 2012, 73 have earned the special distinction of graduating with honors. The College celebrated its ninth Commencement on Saturday, June 9, drawing thousands of people to its River Campus in East Hartford. To achieve Cum Laude status, a student must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5. A minimum 3.7 GPA is required to graduate Magna Cum Laude, and students achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher graduated Summa Cum Laude.
